Our story begins in 1893 with Bobba’s cheesecake — a recipe that journeyed all the way from Lithuania to Cape Town, passed down through generations, carrying memories, tradition, and love in every bite. At COOKED, we honour those roots by gathering people around good food, good stories, and a table that always has room for one more.

Inspired by our ancestors’ creative (and slightly defiant) spirit, our community loves honest food with a modern edge. You’ll find a few contemporary twists on the menu, but when it comes to bagels, there’s no compromise.
