Wish You Were Here entstand aus der gemeinsamen Liebe zum Reisen, Design und dem freudigen Chaos südafrikanischer Kreativität. Die Marke, die von zwei Schwestern gegründet wurde, die in Südafrika geboren und aufgewachsen sind, entwickelte sich aus jahrelangen Reisen und dem Sammeln von Souvenirs, wo immer wir auch hinkamen, von einer Keramikfliese in Portugal bis zu einer "I Love Uluwatu"-Tasse. Manche waren unbestreitbar kitschig, andere wirklich besonders, aber alle trugen Erinnerungen an einen Ort und einen Zeitpunkt in sich. Daher begann Wish You Were Here mit der Kreation von Souvenirs, die wir selbst tatsächlich kaufen und sammeln würden. Stücke, die sich besonders, aber auch spielerisch und lustig anfühlen.
