Wish You Were Here was born from a shared love of travel, design, and the joyful chaos of South African creativity. Started by two sisters, born and raised in South Africa, the brand grew from years of travelling and collecting souvenirs wherever we went, from a ceramic tile in Portugal to an I Love Uluwatu mug. Some were undeniably cheesy, others genuinely special, but all of them held memories of a place and a moment in time. That’s where Wish You Were Here began: creating souvenirs we would actually want to buy and collect ourselves. Pieces that feel special, but also playful and fun.
We drew on the nostalgia of the classic 1970s I ❤️ New York icon and reimagined it through a South African lens. The simple souvenir that became an icon, reworked for Cape Town.

Our goal is to create fashion-first souvenirs, custom cut & sew fits, premium locally milled fabrics, and thoughtful details. From fitted baby tees to oversized, unisex tee & everything is designed to feel considered, wearable, and current.
You’ll see our souvenirs worn on beach days at Clifton Beach, thrown over a bikini after a swim at the Camps Bay Tidal Pool, styled for sunset drinks on Kloof Street and then carefully packed into suitcases heading back to London, New York City, Amsterdam or wherever home might be.
It gives travellers something they actually want to wear back home, not just a keepsake, but a statement. A memory they can live in.

The building is beautiful great location and modern apartments . Good for work environment
Great location and fantastic value. Wonderful staff who were always helpful and cheerful, happily suggesting restaurants and beaches. (Thank you so much Julio, Lavern and Abongile). The swimming pool was a great asset after a hot day touring. Only negative was the small bedroom with the bed up against the wall. Not great for two people.
The building is near the main road and it makes it easier to access a lot of places... The room that I was in was very nice and spacious. The staff at reception is also very nice and helpful. I would recommend to anyone this accommodation.
Beautiful rooms with beautiful views, short walk to the promenade, beach and restaurants. Truly enjoyed my stay! Can’t wait to go back.

The best stay in Capetown if you are looking for an apartment - I stayed in several places of them and all where 10/10! I got an upgrade they take care of my luggage during the time I couldn’t check in! And the location is amazing!highly Recommended!!

Super nice location, very nice to have your own kitchen and very lovely people. Everthing is clean and tidy and the option for parking in the underground garage is great.
Great little apartment building to stay in while visiting Cape Town. Stellar location, the friendliest staff and a great room product. Always felt safe with 24/7 security on-site. Great restaurants and cafes within walking distance. And the view of Lions Head from the rooftop pool cannot be beat!! Highly reccomend if you are looking for a place to stay while visiting.
