TENONV sits on Vredenburg Lane, just off Long Street, in Cape Town's historic city centre. Walk one way for the cafés, bars and heritage buildings of Long Street. Walk the other way and you reach the calm of the Company's Garden in about three minutes. The Planetarium, with shows about the southern night sky, a good choice for families. The Iziko South African Museum and the South African National Gallery, for natural history, culture and South African art. The National Library of South Africa, a quiet, historic building at the bottom of the Garden. Kloof Street, a short walk up the road The Museum of Illusions at 10 Kloof Street, with more than 60 interactive exhibits, great for families and rainy days. Egghead Diner at 34 Kloof Street, about five minutes away. The Conscious Kitchen at 36 Kloof Street, right next door to Egghead. Lifestyle on Kloof, a small centre with Kauai for smoothies and healthy bowls, and Yemaya Spa for treatments. A little further Greenmarket Square, about ten minutes on foot. Bo-Kaap, with its colourful houses and Cape Malay food, a short ride away. The V&A Waterfront, about seven minutes by car. The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, about nine minutes by car. Sea Point Promenade and Clifton 4th Beach, both under ten minutes by car.

On foot The city centre is easy to explore on foot. The Company's Garden, Kloof Street and Greenmarket Square are all within about ten minutes. After dark, we suggest a ride hailing app for longer trips. Uber and Bolt Uber and Bolt are widely used and good value in Cape Town. Typical drive times are about 7 minutes to the V&A Waterfront, 8 minutes to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and 9 minutes to Sea Point. MyCiTi bus The nearest MyCiTi stops are Upper Long and Michaelis, on route 101 (Vredehoek, Gardens, Civic Centre). At Civic Centre station you can change routes for the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point, Camps Bay and more. MyCiTi is card based, so cash is not accepted on the bus. Buy a myconnect card at a MyCiTi station kiosk or a participating retailer, load a pay as you go package or a 1, 3 or 7 day pass, and tap in and out. The MyCiTi app shows live bus times. Airport Cape Town International Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic. Uber, Bolt and private airport shuttles are the easiest options. Do you need a car? Not for the city centre, the V&A Waterfront or the Atlantic Seaboard beaches. A car is useful for day trips to Cape Point, the Winelands or the West Coast. There is no onsite parking at TENONV, but undercover parking is available next to the Planetarium on Queen Victoria Street.

Self-catering: Every apartment is self-catering, so you are free to prepare your own meals and enjoy the flexibility of apartment living. For longer stays: With a kitchen, high-speed WiFi and space to work, our apartments suit both short visits and extended stays. The coworking lounge and clubhouse give you room to work away from your apartment. Family-friendly: Travelling with little ones? A cot and a baby bath are available on request, subject to availability. Please let us know before you arrive if you need either. Extra beds are not available. Living local: TENONV sits just off Long Street in Cape Town's historic city centre. The Company's Garden is three minutes from the front door, home to the Planetarium, the South African Museum and the National Gallery. Head up Kloof Street for breakfast at Egghead Diner or an afternoon at the Museum of Illusions. A SPAR open 24 hours is close by for anything you need. Spend your days exploring the city like a local, then come home to your own private space.
